The Romont to Moudon stage is a 20.8 km journey that descends from the hill of Romont towards the Broye valley. The route starts in the walled city of Romont (790 m) and follows a predominantly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Moudon (510 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with hills, forests, and cultivated fields, already in the canton of Vaud. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Moudon, a city with a rich historical past, is a culturally interesting finale. Its old town, with Saint-Étienne church and its medieval streets, deserves a visit. This stage combines gentle exercise with a rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Jacob's Way.
