Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
The final 27.65-kilometre stage of the Camiño do Mar, ending in Ferrol, starting point of the English Way. From Covas the route follows the coast south past Doniños beach and lagoon, a protected natural area, and continues along the shore to the mouth of the Ferrol estuary, guarded by San Felipe castle. The last stretch follows the estuary through A Graña and enters the naval city, with its arsenal and the A Magdalena quarter, a historic ensemble with an 18th-century Enlightenment grid layout. The stage ends by the port of Curuxeiras, where the English Way to Santiago begins.
