Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Coastal stage through the Rías Altas and the region of Ferrolterra. The 30 km run along coastal paths overlooking the spectacular beach of A Frouxeira (Valdoviño), one of the largest in Galicia, and the dunes and coastal lagoons of the Natural Park of A Frouxeira. The route crosses Cedeira and enters the municipality of Ferrol arriving at Covas, a small parish with a beach and traditional fishing port.
The A Guarda to Baiona stage is a 30km journey that enters Galicia. The route starts in A Guarda (10m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle overall ascent towards Baiona (10m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with interior sections and spectacular views of the Vigo estuary. It's a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. The arrival in Baiona, the village where the discovery of America was announced, is a stage finish with charm.
