Stage Description
Final stage of the Camino del Mar of about 25 km that connects with Ferrol, where the traditional English Way to Santiago begins. The route skirts the Ferrol estuary passing through A Graña and the historic shipyards, before entering the naval city through the neighborhood of Magdalena, declared a Historic-Artistic Site, with its eighteenth-century grid layout. Perfect end to combine later with the English Way from Ferrol.
The Baiona to Vigo stage is a 25-kilometer journey that brings the pilgrim to the great city of Vigo. The trail starts in Baiona (10m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent towards Vigo (20m). The route traverses a beautiful landscape, with forests and fields of cultivation. It is a pleasant walk, which allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive on time to explore the destination city. Arrival at Vigo, with its impressive old town and lively atmosphere, is a spectacular final stage. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance in the Portuguese Coastal Way.
