The Melle to Aulnay-de-Saintonge stage is a 23km journey that culminates in one of France's most precious Romanesque art jewels. The route starts from Melle (120m) and follows a predominantly downhill profile, with some undulations, until the town of Aulnay-de-Saintonge (50m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with fields of cultivation and forests.
