The Melle to Aulnay-de-Saintonge stage is a 23km journey that culminates in one of France's most precious Romanesque art jewels. The route starts from Melle (120m) and follows a predominantly downhill profile, with some undulations, until the town of Aulnay-de-Saintonge (50m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with fields of cultivation and forests. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to appreciate the scenery and arrive on time to explore the destination town. Arrival in Aulnay-de-Saintonge is a moment of great excitement for art lovers. Its Saint-Pierre church, World Heritage Site, is an architectural gem. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich artistic experience, a perfect balance on the Turonensis Way.
