Stage Description
Final section of the day through the Ulloa region. The way becomes flatter and easier once the highest points of the sierra are behind. It is a pleasant walk among hamlets with Romanesque charm and cattle-farming landscapes, ending in the town of Palas de Rei, a key milestone on the Camino Francés.
From Hospital da Cruz, the way descends gently towards Ventas de Narón and Ligonde, where its famous stone cross can be visited. The terrain is easy going, alternating between footpaths and country lanes surrounded by farmland. Palas de Rei offers all the necessary services and a lively Jacobean atmosphere, and is the place where pilgrims traditionally prepare to enter the province of A Coruña.
