The inaugural stage of the Jacob's Way in this section is a gentle stroll along the southern shore of Lake Constance before entering the Swiss countryside. The route passes through picturesque villages and landscapes of orchards and fields of cultivation. The arrival at Märstetten, a peaceful rural town in the canton of Thurgau, is a serene end to the stage.
The first stage of the Jacob's Way is a 14.7 km journey that starts from Konstanz (400 m) and enters into Swiss countryside. The route follows a mainly flat profile with a gentle ascent to Märstetten (420 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with views of Lake Constance and the Alps. It's an enjoyable walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Märstetten, a peaceful rural town, is a serene final stage.
