Stage Description
This stage offers two variants, one along the coast and the other in the interior. Both are of great beauty. The coastal variant is longer, but offers spectacular views of the sea. Arrival at Gijón, the largest city in Asturias, with its San Lorenzo beach and lively atmosphere, is a monumental final to the stage. It's a day to enjoy nature and Asturian culture.
The Villaviciosa to Gijón stage is a 30km journey that offers two options, one along the coast and another through the interior. The route starts in Villaviciosa (10m) and follows an undulating profile with a gentle ascent towards Gijón (10m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape with spectacular sea views. It's a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Gijón, Asturias' largest city, is a monumental final stage. This stage combines a gentle workout with rich historical and scenic experience, a perfect balance on the North Way.
