Stage Description

This long stage enters the vast forest of the Landes of Gascony. The route is flat but very demanding due to its distance and the monotony of the landscape. It's a day for introspection and meditation, surrounded by an ocean of pines. Arrival in Le Barp, a small village at the heart of the forest, is an oasis of rest. It's a stage of overcoming, which strengthens both body and spirit.
The stage from Gradignan to Le Barp is a 33 km long journey that ventures into the vast forest of Gascony's Landes. The trail starts in Gradignan (30m) and follows a mostly flat profile, with a gentle ascent towards Le Barp (60m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with endless pine forests. It is an demanding walk due to its length and the monotony of the landscape, which requires good physical and mental preparation. Arrival at Le Barp, a small village in the heart of the forest, is an oasis of rest. It's a stage of overcoming that strengthens both body and spirit.
