Stage Description
This stage says goodbye to Asturias and enters Galicia. The route is a continuous ascent to the top of Acebo, the entrance to Galicia. It's a day of great beauty and physical demand. Arrival in A Fonsagrada, the largest municipality in Galicia, is an end-of-stage point in the mountains. This stage marks the entry into the land of the Apostle.
The stage from Grandas de Salime to A Fonsagrada is a 26 km journey that says goodbye to Asturias and enters Galicia. The route starts in Grandas de Salime (500 m) and follows an ascending profile, with the climb up Acebo as the main challenge. The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with oak and beech forests. It's an demanding walk that requires good physical preparation. Arrival at A Fonsagrada (950 m), the largest municipality in Galicia, is the final stage in the mountains.
