Stage Description

Leaving behind the monumental Chartres, this long stage follows the course of the River Loir. The route is flat and pleasant, ideal for recovering strength. The landscape is riverine, with the river as a constant companion. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the road and the riverine landscape. Arrival in Bonneval, known as "the little Venice of Beauce" due to its canals, is an end-of-stage finale with charm. It's a transition stage that enters the Loir valley.
The Chartres to Bonneval stage is a 33-kilometer long journey that follows the course of the Loir River. The path starts in Chartres (140 m) and follows a mainly flat profile, with a gentle descent towards Bonneval (125 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, partly following the course of the river. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival at Bonneval, known as "the little Venice of the Beauce" for its canals, is a stage finale with charm. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Turonensis Way.
