Stage Description
This short and pleasant stage continues along the Loir valley. The road is flat and closely follows the course of the river. The brevity of the day allows time to explore Châteaudun, a city dominated by its impressive castle, one of the first castles of the Loire. It's a day to enjoy the riverine landscape and the majesty of Renaissance architecture. It is an obligatory stop on the route.
The Bonneval to Châteaudun stage is a 14 km short journey that continues through the Loir valley. The path starts in Bonneval (125m) and follows a mostly flat profile with a gentle descent towards Châteaudun (115m). The route follows the course of the Loir River, on an enjoyable and trouble-free walk. It is a peaceful stroll that allows you to enjoy the riverine landscape and arrive in time to explore the destination town.
