Stage Description
The last stage. Emotion is the protagonist of this journey. The path crosses the last villages before arriving in Santiago. The entry into the city, the arrival at Plaza del Obradoiro and the hug to the Apostle are the end of a long adventure. It's a journey to savor each step, for joy and reflection. The end of the Camino, the beginning of a new era.
The last stage of the Portuguese Way is a 25 km journey that ends in Santiago de Compostela. The path starts in Padrón (10 m) and follows an ascending profile, with continuous ascent to Santiago (260 m). The route passes through the last villages before arriving at Santiago. It's an demanding walk that requires good physical preparation. Arrival in Santiago de Compostela is a moment of great emotion. The city, with its impressive cathedral, is the end of a long adventure. This stage combines a great physical challenge with total immersion in history and spirituality.
