Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Final stage of the Camino Baztanés, the Navarrese branch that comes from Bayona down the valle del Baztán and joins the Camino Francés in Pamplona. Its 22 km or so descend from the valle de Anué to the Navarrese capital through beech woods and oak groves, with the sierra de Aralar to the west. The entry into Pamplona is made by way of the alto del Perdón (a panoramic view over the basin) or by way of Berrioplano, arriving at the cathedral of Santa María la Real and the old quarter of Iruña.
