Stage Description
This short and pleasant stage continues through rural Galicia. The route is a continuous up and down through a landscape of forests and meadows. Arrival in Portomarín, a rebuilt village on the shores of Belesar Reservoir, is an unusual final stage. It's a day to enjoy the scenery and history, a precursor to the last stages of the trail.
The Ferreiros to Portomarín stage is a 10km short journey through rural Galicia. The path starts in Ferreiros (600m) and follows a mainly descending profile with some undulations until the town of Portomarín (350m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests and meadows. It's a peaceful walk without difficulties, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and arrive on time to explore the destination town. Arrival in Portomarín, a rebuilt village at the shores of Belesar reservoir, is an unique final stage. This stage combines a gentle workout with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Camino Francés.
