Stage Description

This stage enters the valley of the River Nera, in the region of Umbria, "the green heart of Italy". The ride is smoother than before, following the course of the river through a lush and pleasant landscape. It's a day to enjoy nature and the serenity of the valley. Arrival at Ferentillo, a town dominated by two castles and famous for its mummy museum, is an interesting and historic final stage.
The Piediluco to Ferentillo stage is a 17.9 km journey that enters the Nera River valley in Umbria region. The trail starts from Piediluco (375 m) and follows a mainly descending profile, with some undulations, until Ferentillo (250 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, following the course of the Nera River. It is a peaceful walk without difficulties, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination town.
