Ferentillo is a locality in the Valnerina (Umbria) that surprises visitors with its uniqueness. The town is divided into two by the Nera River, and each part is dominated by a medieval fortress (Rocca di Matterella and Rocca di Precetto). It is a very popular destination for rock climbers due to its rocky walls. However, its most famous attraction is the curious Museum of Mummies, located in the crypt of the Santo Stefano church, where a natural mummification process has preserved the bodies buried there.
