Stage Description
A long and demanding 28.3-kilometre stage leading to Viveiro, one of the most important towns of A Mariña. The route leaves San Cibrao, crosses the municipality of Xove alternating coast and country lanes, and approaches the fishing port of Celeiro before skirting Covas beach at the head of the Viveiro estuary. It enters the town over the Landro estuary. Viveiro preserves part of its walls with the Carlos V Gate, a historic centre of glazed galleries and a Holy Week declared of International Tourist Interest. Within its municipality stands the Avó de Chavín, considered the largest tree in Spain.
