Stage Description
This stage marks the entry into Asturias. The route follows the coastline, passing through the beautiful seaside town of San Vicente de la Barquera, with its bridge and castle over the estuary. After crossing the Deva River, the pilgrim is received by the first Asturian town, Colombres. This town is famous for its spectacular Indian-style architecture, the houses built by immigrants who made their fortune in America. It's a stage of great scenic beauty and architectural richness.
