Stage Description
The first stage of the English Way is an urban and peri-urban walk along the Ria de Ferrol. It's a flat and pleasant journey, allowing for a peaceful departure from the departmental city. The path goes through the Military Arsenal and the Magdalena neighborhood. The arrival in Neda, a village with a rich heritage and great bread-making tradition, is an enchanting end of stage. It's a day to enjoy the landscape of the ria and the naval history of Ferrol.
The first stage of the English Way is a 15 km journey that skirts Ferrol Bay. The route starts in Ferrol (10m) and follows a mostly flat profile with a gentle ascent towards Neda (10m). The route passes by the Military Arsenal and the Magdalena neighbourhood. It's an enjoyable walk, allowing you to appreciate the scenery and the peaceful surroundings. Arrival in Neda, a town with a rich heritage and a great baking tradition, is a charming final stage. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical and scenic experience, the perfect balance of the English Way.
