Stage Description

This stage continues through the Bairrada region, on a moderate distance and gentle profile walk. The landscape is still dominated by vineyards and eucalyptus forests. It's a transitional day with no major challenges, allowing for a relaxed day of walking. Arrival in Águeda, a city on the banks of the same-named river, is an enjoyable end to the stage. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and the beauty of the Beira Litoral landscapes.
The Mealhada to Águeda stage is a 25km journey that continues through the Bairrada region. The route starts in Mealhada (50m) and follows a mainly descending profile, with some undulations, until the city of Águeda (20m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with vineyards and eucalyptus forests. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Águeda, a city on the banks of the river of the same name, is an end stage that is pleasant. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance in the Portuguese Way.
