Stage Description

This stage crosses the border between Aragon and Castile through the foothills of Moncayo (2,314 m), the highest peak of the Iberian System. The 20 km include an overpass and the descent to the Queiles valley. Agreda, in the province of Soria, is known as 'the town of the three cultures' for its coexistence between Christians, Jews and Muslims, with synagogue, Mudejar churches and the birthplace of Sister Maria de Jesus de Agreda (the 'blue nun', advisor to Philip IV).
