Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Leaving behind the monumental Tomar, this long stage enters the central mountains of Portugal. The route is a continuous up and down through a landscape of forests and hills. It's a day of great beauty and physical demand. Arrival in Alvaiázere, a small village in a valley, is well-deserved rest. This stage puts the pilgrim to the test, but rewards with spectacular landscapes and the tranquility of rural Portugal.
