Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This stage enters the Community of Madrid, on a medium mountain terrain. The profile is an ongoing rise and fall through a landscape of pine forests and vineyards. It's a day of great beauty. The destination is San Martín de Valdeiglesias, an important hill town, famous for its Castle of the Coracera and for its natural surroundings by the shores of the San Juan Reservoir.
This stage is a journey to the heart of Don Quixote's La Mancha. The route is flat and monotonous at times, a landscape of cereal fields and vineyards. Arrival in Argamasilla de Alba, a village with a rich heritage and great Jacobean tradition, is an end-of-stage finale with charm. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and universal literature.
