This stage traverses medieval Navarre, on a broken-pavement route with continuous ascents and descents. The landscape is of great beauty, with vineyards, olive groves, and villages with charm. It's a day of great effort, but very rewarding. Arrival in Estella, the "Toledo of the north", with its impressive Romanesque and Gothic heritage, is a monumental final stage. It's a stage to enjoy art and history in an privileged setting.
The stage from Puente la Reina to Estella is a 22-kilometer journey that traverses mid-Navarra. The route starts in Puente la Reina (350 m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent towards Estella (420 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, featuring vineyards, olive groves, and charming villages. It is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Estella, "Toledo of the North", is a monumental endpoint. Its heritage, with its impressive Romanesque and Gothic patrimony, makes it one of the most important stops on the route. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, achieving perfect balance on the Camino Francés.
