Stage Description
Stage of the Camino de la Lana in its Cuenca section. The 20 km link Villarta with Campillo de Altobuey through the Mancha of Cuenca, a landscape of vineyards, olive groves and cereal fields with views of the Serranía de Cuenca to the north. Campillo is a town in Cuenca with a wine tradition and rich rural architectural heritage.
This stage is one of the most spectacular along the Basque coast. The route follows a coastal path that winds its way over cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the Cantabrian Sea. The route passes through the charming seaside village of Getaria, birthplace of Juan Sebastián Elcano. The standout section is the one that crosses the Basque Coast Geopark, with its spectacular rock formations from the Flysch. It's a medium-difficulty day, with an undulating profile, culminating in the town of Deba.
