Discover Baamonde
Baamonde is a parish of the municipality of Begonte that has become an emblematic stop on the North Way. It is the point where the route meets the one coming from Vilalba. Its main symbol is a century-old beech tree, in whose hollow trunk a small chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary has been set up. The Romanesque church of Santiago de Baamonde is another of its attractions. For pilgrims, it is a place with deep Jacobean flavor, known for its excellent albergue and the hospitality of its people. It is an ideal stop for a restorative break in the heart of Terra Chá, before continuing on the route to Sobrado dos Monxes.
