Stage Description
This stage enters a more mountainous terrain. The profile is a continuous rise and fall, with an initial demanding ascent. The landscape changes, and the orange groves give way to pine forests and low mountains. It's a day of great beauty and solitude. The destination is Moixent, a town with an important Iberian site, "La Bastida de les Alcusses", which well deserves a visit.
The stage between Xàtiva and Moixent is a mountain day that enters the Costera region. The profile is demanding, with a strong ascent leaving Xàtiva. The landscape changes radically, and fields of cultivation give way to pine forests and Mediterranean mountains. It's an episode of great natural beauty and solitude. Arrival in Moixent marks the end of the stage. This town is famous for housing the Iberian village of La Bastida de les Alcusses, one of the most important on the peninsula. A visit to the site and its museum is highly recommended. Moixent is a peaceful final stage and culturally very rich.
