Congosto is a Basque locality situated in an privileged environment, by the River Sil and Bárcena reservoir. For the pilgrim of the Forgotten Way, it is a stop of great scenic beauty. The town offers a quiet atmosphere and the possibility to enjoy water-related activities. Its sanctuary of the Virgin of the Peak, embedded in the rock, is a place of great beauty and devotion. It's an ideal stage for a restorative break, enjoying nature and preparing for the imminent arrival at Ponferrada, the end of this historic Jacobean route.
