Guillena, situated at the gates of the Sierra Norte of Seville, is for many pilgrims the true starting point of the Via de la Plata, being the first stop after leaving the great Sevillian city. This Andalusian town welcomes the walker with its tranquil atmosphere and whitewashed streets. Its Church of Our Lady of Granada and the remains of an ancient Moorish wall are its main patrimonial landmarks.
