Huelva, the westernmost capital of Andalusia, is the starting point of the South Way, a Jacobean route heading north to connect with the Via de la Plata in Zafra. Starting the pilgrimage in Huelva is like beginning it from a city marked by the history of the Discovery of America. Its proximity to the Columbus Landmarks such as the Monastery of La Rábida and the Caravel Dock, where Columbus set sail from, imbues the start of the journey with an spirit of adventure and new horizons.
