The ancient capital of one of the seven provinces of the Kingdom of Galicia, its old town, declared a Historic-Artistic Ensemble, is a monumental treasure. Its imposing Basilica of the Assumption Cathedral, with its blend of styles and its sacred art museum, is the heart of the city.
