Discover Pola de Lena
Pola de Lena is the capital of the Lena council and one of the most important villages on the Way of St James. For pilgrims, it is a fundamental stop that offers a complete range of services in a mountain environment. Its location, in the valley of the Lena River, makes it a communication hub. Very close to the village is the preromanesque jewel of Santa Cristina de Lena, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, an indispensable visit. With an animated atmosphere and good hostel options, it's the ideal place for a restorative break before tackling the mythical ascent to Pajares Pass.
