Stage of the Camino

Stage Description

This stage is famous for its impressive views and for the vertiginous descent to Grandas de Salime reservoir. The journey begins at high altitude before starting a very pronounced and technical descent of over 600 meters of drop-off. The landscape is spectacular. After crossing the dam, one faces a final ascent to reach Grandas de Salime. It's a short but intense stage with unforgettable landscape beauty.
This long stage enters the Pinares region, on a route that combines sections of the ancient Roman road with trails through forests. It is a day of great beauty and solitude. The arrival at San Leonardo de Yagüe, a village with an impressive castle, is a monumental final stage. This stage requires good physical effort but rewards with unforgettable landscapes.
