Stage Description
This stage enters the Eume Woods, one of Europe's best-conserved Atlantic woodlands. The route is a continuous rise and fall through a landscape of great beauty. It is an exhausting but rewarding journey. Arrival in Pontedeume, a medieval village with an impressive bridge and tower, is a monumental final stage. This stage puts the pilgrim to the test, but rewards with the beauty of the landscape and a dream destination.
The Neda to Pontedeume stage is a 16 km journey that ventures into the Eume Forests. The route starts in Neda (10 m) and follows an undulating profile with a gentle overall ascent to Pontedeume (10 m). The route passes through a landscape of great beauty, one of Europe's best-preserved Atlantic forests. It is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. The arrival in Pontedeume, a medieval village with an impressive bridge and tower, is a monumental final stage. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical and scenic experience, a perfect balance on the English Way.
