Stage Description

Final cyclotourist stage of the English Way, long day (about 65 km, not 12) that links Betanzos with Santiago de Compostela passing through Hospital de Bruma (convergence point with the other branch of the English Way from A Coruña) and Sigüeiro. The route crosses inland rural Galicia with undulating profile, eucalyptus forests and traditional villages. Arrival in Santiago through O Meixonfrío and Porta da Pena, with the thrill of reaching the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela after two days of cycling.
The Samos to Sarria stage is a 12 km short journey that follows the course of the River Sarria. The trail starts at Samos (500 m) and follows a mainly flat profile with a gentle descent towards Sarria (450 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, following in part the river's course. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Sarria, the starting point for many pilgrims, is an animated finale. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the French Way.
