Stage Description
This short and pleasant stage follows the course of the Sarria River. The route is a gentle stroll through rural Galicia. Arrival in Sarria, the starting point for many pilgrims, is an animated final leg. It's a day to enjoy nature and history, a precursor to the final stages of the trail.
The Samos to Sarria stage is a 12 km short journey that follows the course of the River Sarria. The trail starts at Samos (500 m) and follows a mainly flat profile with a gentle descent towards Sarria (450 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, following in part the river's course. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Sarria, the starting point for many pilgrims, is an animated finale. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the French Way.
