This stage continues through the Leonesian highlands, on a flat and shadowless route. It's a day to enjoy the vastness of the landscape and the solitude of the road. The arrival in Mansilla de las Mulas, a walled village by the Esla river, is a charming end to an etapa with medieval charm. It's a transition day that brings the pilgrim closer to the great city of León.
The stage from El Burgo Ranero to Mansilla de las Mulas is a 19 km journey that continues through the Leonesian highlands. The route starts at El Burgo Ranero (880 m) and follows a mostly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Mansilla de las Mulas (790 m). The route passes over a beautiful landscape, with fields of grain and endless horizons. It is a peaceful walk without difficulties, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination town. Mansilla de las Mulas, a walled village on the banks of the River Esla, is an end stage with medieval charm. This stage combines a gentle exercise with a rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the French Way.
