Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This long stage enters the Leonesese high plateaus. The path runs along a dirt trail that advances in a straight line, parallel to the road, through an endless landscape of horizons. It is a transition phase, with few intermediate towns. The route offers the pilgrim an experience of solitude and meditation. The final stage ends in the historic village of Mansilla de las Mulas, an important medieval stronghold that preserves much of its impressive stone wall.
