This stage marks the entry into Extremadura. The profile is mainly flat, an enjoyable stroll through the Campo Arañuelo region. The landscape is a mix of pastures and cultivated fields, with the Sierra de Gredos always present on the horizon. It's a transition day that brings the pilgrim to the heart of Extremadura. Arrival in Navalmoral de la Mata, an important communication hub and service center, offers a comfortable and functional end to the stage.
The stage that connects Oropesa with Navalmoral de la Mata is a transition day that leads the pilgrim from Castilla-La Mancha to Extremadura. The profile is very favorable, with a gentle descent. The landscape still dominates the dehesas, although large areas of irrigation also appear. The path crosses the provincial border and enters the Campo Arañuelo comarca. The Sierra de Gredos remains a constant visual reference in the horizon. Arrival at Navalmoral de la Mata is the end of the stage. This town is an important communication hub and the capital of the comarca. Although it does not have a large monumental heritage, its functionality and complete range of services make it a very convenient stopover for the pilgrim. It's an ideal place to replenish strength and plan subsequent stages in Extremaduran territory.
