This stage continues along the western coast of Cantabria, on a route that combines interior sections with spectacular views to the sea. It is a day of great beauty, which passes through towns with charm such as Comillas. The arrival at San Vicente de la Barquera, a maritime village with an impressive bridge and the Picos de Europa as a backdrop, is a postal stage end.
The stage from Santillana del Mar to San Vicente de la Barquera is a 32 km long journey that continues along the western coast of Cantabria. The route starts at Santillana del Mar (90 m) and follows a mainly descending profile, although with some undulations, until the village of San Vicente de la Barquera (10 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with charming villages like Comillas.
