This long stage is an enjoyable descent into the monumental city of Lugo. The route passes through a rural and solitary landscape, which contrasts with the great city that approaches. Arrival in Lugo, with its impressive Roman wall, World Heritage Site, is a spectacular final stage. It's a day to enjoy the anticipation of arriving at one of the most important cities on the route.
The stage from O Cádavo Baleira to Lugo is a 30km long journey that gently descends towards the monumental city of Lugo. The route starts at O Cádavo Baleira (700m) and follows a predominantly descending profile, with some undulations, until the city of Lugo (450m). The route traverses a rural and solitary landscape, contrasting with the approaching large city. It is an enjoyable walk that allows you to appreciate the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination city. The arrival at Lugo, with its impressive Roman wall, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a spectacular final stage. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Camino Primitivo.
