Leaving behind the monumental Lugo, this stage enters into Galician rural territory. The route is an enjoyable stroll through flat terrain, between forests and meadows. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of Galician countryside. The arrival at San Romao da Retorta, a small village with a Romanesque church, is an authentic end of stage. It's a transition day that brings the pilgrim closer to the destination of Santiago.
