The stage from Santarém to Golegã is a 31-kilometer long journey that continues along the Tajo's leza. The path starts in Santarém (80 m) and follows a mainly descending profile, with some undulations, until the locality of Golegã (20 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with Portuguese countryside as the main protagonist. It is an demanding walk due to its length, but it rewards with the beauty of its scenery and the tranquility of its surroundings. Arrival in Golegã, the capital of Lusitanian horses, is a final stage with a special charm. This stage combines a gentle exercise with a rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Portuguese Way.
