Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Leaving behind the monumental Burgos, this stage enters into the Castilian tableland. The route is flat and monotonous at times, a landscape of cereal fields and endless horizons. It's a day for introspection and meditation. The arrival in Hornillos del Camino, a small Jacobean village, is an authentic final stage. It's a journey that defines the experience of walking across the tableland: solitude, effort, and the austere beauty of the plain.
The Burgos to Hornillos del Camino stage is a 21 km journey that ventures into the Castilian tableland. The path starts in Burgos (850 m) and follows a mainly flat profile with a gentle descent towards Hornillos del Camino (820 m).
