Stage Description

This stage is approaching the Ebro reservoir. The profile is a continuous rise and fall through a landscape of great beauty. The route crosses mountains forests and meadows. Arrival in Arija, by the reservoir's shores, offers a spectacular view, reminiscent of a large mountain lake. It is an end to the stage in a privileged natural environment.
The stage between Espinosa de los Monteros and Arija is a medium mountain stage that brings the pilgrim to Ebro Reservoir. The profile is a continuous rise and fall with considerable accumulated gradient. The landscape is of great beauty, with oak and beech forests, and high mountain meadows. Arrival in Arija, on the shores of the vast Ebro Reservoir, marks the end of the stage. This town, which had to be rebuilt after the creation of the reservoir, offers spectacular views. Its white sandy beaches and calm waters make it an ideal place for rest and water sports practice. It's a final stage that surprises by its landscape beauty, an inland sea in the heart of the mountain.
