Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This is one of the most spectacular stages of the Via Tolosana. The path enters the gorges of the Hérault river, a landscape of canyons and cliffs of great beauty. The route is demanding, with constant ups and downs. The end of the stage is the arrival at Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, one of France's "Most Beautiful Villages". This medieval gem, with its impressive Gellone Abbey (World Heritage Site), its Devil's Bridge and cobblestone streets, is an unforgettable reward for the pilgrim's effort.
