This is the arrival stage at the majestic and imperial city of Toledo. It's a long and demanding journey with an undulating profile that crosses the Toledo Mountains. The landscape is of great beauty, with meadows and forests. Emotion grows as the silhouette of Toledo comes into view on the horizon, with its Alcázar and Cathedral. Crossing the Tajo River to enter the city is an unforgettable moment. Toledo, a World Heritage Site, awaits the pilgrim with an inexhaustible treasure trove of art, history, and culture, an absolutely spectacular final stage.
The Mora to Toledo stage is a long and demanding 39.2 km journey that culminates in one of Spain's most fascinating cities. The route starts in Mora (715 m) and continues its passage through the Montes de Toledo, on uneven and rocky terrain. The route traverses a landscape of pastures, olive groves, and low mountains, with continuous ups and downs. It passes by localities such as Mascaraque, with its castle, and Almonacid de Toledo, dominated by its Arab origin fortress. The difficulty of the stage is rewarded by the beauty of the landscape and growing anticipation of arrival at the "Imperial City". In the final kilometers, the silhouette of Toledo, with its Alcázar and the tower of its Cathedral, cuts across the horizon, a vision that has amazed travelers for centuries. The entrance to Toledo (529 m), crossing the Tajo River by one of its historic bridges, is a magical moment.
