Stage Description
This is the first part of the stage that connects Portomarín and Palas de Rei. The route starts with a continuous but gentle ascent to the Ligonde Hills. The path passes through pine and eucalyptus forests. Arrival in the small village of Ventas de Narón, an old pilgrim hospital, offers a tranquil final stage in a rural setting.
The stage between Portomarín and Ventas de Narón is an ascending day that takes the pilgrim to the Ligonde Hills. The path leaves Portomarín and begins to gain height gradually. The landscape is dominated by pine and eucalyptus forests. It passes through the local town of Gonzar. The arrival at Ventas de Narón, a small village with an albergue, marks the end of this short stage.
