Stage Description

This is a long and demanding stage that culminates in the beautiful city of Lausanne, on the shores of Lake Léman. The route is a continuous up and down through the hills preceding the lake. Arrival in Lausanne, with its impressive Gothic cathedral and lively atmosphere, is a spectacular final stage. It's a day of great physical effort that is widely rewarded with the beauty of the lake and the cultural richness of the Olympic city.
The Moudon to Lausanne stage is a 27.6 km long journey that ends on the shores of Lake Lemann. The route starts in Moudon (510 m) and passes through the Jorat region, an area of dense forests and hills acting as the green lung of the region. The profile is demanding, with a long ascent exceeding 800 meters in altitude, followed by a pronounced descent towards Lausanne (375 m). This stage requires good physical preparation. Arrival in Lausanne is a moment of great excitement. The city, host to the International Olympic Committee, is one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities. Its imposing Gothic cathedral dominates the old town. The Ouchy port, on the lake shore, and the Olympic Museum are must-visit attractions.
